Today’s Valentine’s Day was perfectly peaceful. I went to the bookstore, did my weekly grocery shopping, cleaned my apartment and snuggled with my kitty. Might seem mundane to some, but I’m grateful for the ability to care for myself.

I’m having a doc student crisis, and I need some advice. Here’s the issue: I’m not excited about my dissertation topic, and at this point, it’s too late to change it. It’s not a terrible topic, but I’m just not overly passionate about it. Does this spell doom for my doctorate?
