The Federal Government is on the verge of slashing HUD Continuum of Care funds. At Alliance, our housing communities Minnehaha Commons and Kyle Garden Square receive significant support through HUD CoC resulting in ongoing housing stability for 72 formerly homeless individuals at a time. 1/

Alliance is not immune to these issues. We are currently in the process of selling a 29-unit building of deeply affordable housing because the skyrocketing costs, especially insurance and security, would put the rest of our 303 homes at risk.

Alliance Executive Director Jessie Hendel spent the last 8 months sitting on the Minnesota Task Force for Long-Term Sustainability of Affordable Housing. Last week she and other members of the Task Force testified before the Minnesota Senate Housing and Homelessness Prevention Committee.
