Today I've learned what it's like for your jaw to be tired just eating normally. I've known for other reasons, heh, but never actually eating food. Turns out when part of your facial muscles aren't working, the others have to work harder. Who knew? lol

I really don't expect anyone to read that, it's way too long, but it's there nonetheless. It's so extremely rare I can actually put down words from my head to "paper" in that amount.

Getting discharged shortly, so at least I get to go home to the cats now instead of being stuck in here, lol. Sure being waited on is nice, but it's boring as heck overall. I'll catch up later.

Up way to early (for me, lol) but today's nurse is an alright guy. Apparently had Bell's Palsy in the past himself and only affects his eyebrow now. Actually noticed I was watching Twitch as well and knew what it was, pretty rare around here. No snow outside, just some non-freezing rain.

I'm sitting here so hard trying not to laugh at this old fucker's choice of swear words though. Fucknuts is always a good one. I swear he was screaming out "HEYYY PIIIIIG" earlier too or yelling out a similar name. Observation floor is wild.

Nurses 100% don't het paid enough for the shit they go through. The two roommates I've had in here have been mean old cusses with some kind of delirium that punch, kick, bite, and have needed restrained. They actually said they're trying to get me a room of my own for sleep and safety.

I can imagine how much this little hospital stay would cost without Medicaid. Got some sleep last night after being awake 34 hours straight. Not sure what else will be done today, I suppose I'll find out later. Having nearly half of your face paralyzed is wild, for sure.

Even if you're in the hospital, things can always be worse. My "roommate" is pretty non responsive & had to have a feeding tube shoved through their nose. I just have Bell's Palsy and they're giving me (burning, ow) IV antibiotics, antivirals, and steroids to aim at the cause and hopefully help it.
