It was also thanks to my language teacher, Mrs Patterson that I developed such a love for the #German language. Her Scottish accent made German sing and dance. Her encouragement was #ausgezeichnet (excellent) and her enthusiasm was #ansteckend (contagious). #ShoutOutForGerman

Shocking that only 24% UK children read for pleasure but interesting this figure is higher for #multilinguals because of efforts made to expose them to reading materials in their home/community languages. Makes sense, so how can we get monolinguals to read more?
