I bought a $5 DVD of The Wizard of Oz at Walmart today. I love physical media, I only have it on VHS, and it isn’t on any of the streaming services I use, so I thought it was a good purchase for me. I also have a commentary to accompany it that I want I watch.

Our heat has been out the last two nights, but I feel so much cozier with it off and the fireplace running instead. I know it’s not environmentally or economically responsible long term, but I’m going to appreciate this while it lasts.

My life is just me rereading crap I wrote and seeing spelling and grammar mistakes that my brain just skips over when writing and reading. I’m so focused on my message that I can’t process the technical aspects of my writing until afterwards. My brain skips & mixes numbers like this too. 🙄

I was following a Christian movie producing organization because they made an incredible film about Nazi Germany and the true story of a child who stood up against the regime.

I was slowly sipping a cold drink when I experienced the most painful brain freeze of my entire life. It started in my head and traveled down my spine and it was so intense I started gasping for air. I have never experienced every nerve in my body light up and make it hard to breathe from one.

I’m fighting tears. People are just trying to live their lives. Peaceful people here legally, adding to our economy, and paying taxes! Taking care of children! This has to end!!

I hope one day I meet people who can love me the same way I love them. People with the same values, goals, and curiosity as my own. I’m not exactly sure where I went wrong in finding these soul mates, but I’m doing my best to track them down. Maybe they are as lonely as I am. I hope not.

There aren’t really any downsides to having good eyesight, but if there is one it’s being able to see the spider across the room close to the ceiling right after you took your muscle relaxer.

Maybe I don’t have friends, or a spouse, or a house, or live somewhere I like, but, hey, I got paid to use my degree for an hour for the first time since I graduated 3 years ago. So, you know, that’s kinda something. I’m trying to be positive ok!? 😆

Notice how quickly “we want our nation to uphold Christian values” turns into “it’s not the government’s job to feed the hungry or help the poor!” which are actually things Christ taught his followers to value.

As SNAP programs are cut nationwide, it amazes me how many people are saying, "Good. They'll have to get off their asses and work if they want to eat," completely ignoring the 11,000,000 disabled people on those programs who would absolutely love to be out working, but can't. Where is your empathy?

I’m so thankful that I just saw a prayer for a friend come to fruition. She doesn’t know how much my heart has been breaking for her for years, and I don’t want her to know because she has her own burdens to bear. I’ll continue to pray for her, and shout to the wind love for her and others.
