Week 1 of #RockingAphasia is complete. We've seen rocks hidden from the USA to Italy,
From Scotland to Borneo.
And lots of places between and beyond!
Thanks for putting #aphasia on the map this #AphasiaAwarenessMonth

Happy Birthday Mum 💜

I think she likes her surprise 🥹☺️💜

This year is a special one! 5th of July will be mum's 20 year stroke anniversary, and we will celebrate in style 😎

Travel and concerts can be more tricky after #stroke and with #Aphasia but definitely possible ☺️

No one plans a stroke. It comes with enormous physical, emotional, and financial costs.

Already, stroke survivors* struggle to access benefits like #PIP - and these cuts will leave more & more families affected by stroke & disability, with less & less. We must do better.

Jan has #Aphasia a #languagedisorder caused by a #stroke in her case.
Aphasia affects her #speech , #writing & #reading
This is an example of not understanding a written sentence. Jan can often identify a keyword & make a guess, but she was stuck here.
Once she hears the sentence it makes sense💜
