Why was “dry” chosen as the optimal adjective to describe wine? I am sure there is some technical meaning. Still seems like there could be a better choice for a beverage, given liquid is wet and therefore the literal opposite of dry.

Newly divorced, this was my first Thanksgiving cooking at home for only me, my dad and my kiddo. Missed my mom who passed a little over a year ago. And while it could have been nice to see other family, I have to say, this was the most relaxing and stress-free holiday I can remember! #Newnormal
