Cool, a flag. Now maybe let's stop funding a genocide of their people??

Looks like I had to go down to Toronto to go get the snow and bring it up to Sudbury. Finally some snow up here.

They didn't play a single song from Deloused or Frances the Mute and it was still incredible and worth the 4hr drive.
Mars Volta doing the Ol' Neil Young. Playing songs no one knows for 45 minutes. I'm all for it.

Snow in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal and i'm up here in northern Ontario getting no snow because of decades of resource extraction has created a heat dome in and around the Sudbury basin.

Despite it all. Sports fans for the win.

I'm further north than Ottawa and we got zero snow thanks to the Sudbury heat dome.

Between Steve Dangle and Blue Jays Johnny, it's a tough call for who is a more embarrassing Toronto sports fan.

The tradition of not watching a single CFL game all season, but then intently watching the Grey Cup, continues. Let's go Als!
Alouettes vs. Roughriders in the 112th Grey Cup renews a classic rivalry from 2009 and 2010. Montreal enters with 8 titles, Saskatchewan with 4. Both teams survived dramatic playoff wins, and the odds are now basically even. This one’s a real coin-flip final for the ages.

On Hockey Night in Canada tonight, host Ron MacLean repeated the colonial myth that Christopher Columbus was the first European to reach the Americas, while praising the genocidal racist responsible for the murder of millions of Indigenous peoples.

Fuck off Ron.
November 9, 2025 at 6:10 AM
Why is Ron MacLean on my TV at 1 a.m. glorifying the genocidal, racist fraud that was Christopher Columbus? How much more boot can you lick, Ron?

Hockey teams from Quebec dominate Alberta. What else is new.
The last time the Edmonton Oilers allowed 9 goals in a game was on January 4, 1984, against the Montreal Canadiens.

On nights like this, I think about this one perfect clip of Matt Christman talking about how elections are just one necessary step within a broader revolutionary praxis, not the end goal, but a stage along the way to something greater.

A friend from Delaware, who doesn't have a clue what socialism is besides the fact that he knows he's been taught that it's bad and evil, stayed up late tonight with his kids and watched Zohran's victory speech. There is a political tremor happening within the imperial core.
