Most people have as little a clue as you do on most things. It’s easier to ask for help and to bluff your way through things when you understand this principle. You can make more rational choices when you understand there’s no rule that says it’s a meritocracy no matter how much they tell you it is.

Was taking the bus into work the other day and thanks to roadworks I have now discovered one of my favourite restaurants from back home has an outlet in this city. It was so beautiful my first thought was to compare it to the end of Doctor Zhivago.

Just got out from seeing Nosferatu. Incredible and hauntingly beautiful film. On an unrelated note I will describe some aspects of my physics degree quoting “I HAVE SEEN THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE ISAAC NEWTON CRAWL BACK INTO HIS MOTHERS WOMB!”
