It would be nice if this kind of new evidence, consisting of actual data that continues to add support to the zoonotic hypothesis, was reported by the lay press at least as enthusiastically as their unsubstantiated rumors about what “the CIA now believes”, etc…. I’m not holding my breath, though.

Finally did it and got rid of that X account. Science is here anyway, don’t care about the spam, bots or propaganda.

Instead of valentines this year, I’m sending copies of this tiny little book to family and friends. If you have not read it, get two copies today— one to keep and one to give.

The first lesson: Do not obey in advance.
The second: Defend institutions.

It could not be more relevant.

I'd like to share DSO, a command line helper to build reproducible data science projects with ease.

It is an opinionated way to organize data science projects, built around data version control (DVC).

Data showing the top 16% of remote workers outperform the top 5% in-office, while the bottom 12% underperform the bottom 5% in-office, makes sense.

Top performers thrive with extra time from no commute, but underperformers struggle without oversight. RTO penalizes top talent for others’ inability.
