Everything they are doing & saying right now is very obviously meant to clear the way for mass repressive violence.

Fact checking is not going to do shit.

Talking about kitchen table issues is not going to do shit.

We need open, unapologetic defiance & conflict.

Today I was told to censor some text about my research because the department is appealing a funding cut and didn't want evidence of anti-trump activity on anything public facing... We're cooked and we're surrounded by cowards.

I've been reworking my #solar record player project to include in my upcoming book. It's getting close! Really distorted, but still musical enough to easily know what it should sound like. The circuit and mechanism isn't too bad either! #solarart #solarpunk #solarpower

I've been finalizing the projects for my new book of #solarpower art tutorials. This is an optical disc sequencer, included in the #soundart chapter. (The book should be available sometime in 2026)

It's up! Rachel Webb Jekanowski @alexnathanson.bsky.social and I muse on what the public humanities might look like if we focused less on bringing high culture to the people & more on helping publics make culture we can study--in this instance, solar-powered art! academic.oup.com/isle/advance...

The Energy Department's closure of the Solar for All program is anti-poor and part of a larger draconian policy agenda rooted in racism. www.dezeen.com/2025/08/14/e...

Across the five boroughs, our volunteers knocked on more than 86,000 doors... just in the past week.

We've now knocked 430,000+ doors at 1,006 different neighborhood canvasses since we launched our field program in January.

This is truly unprecedented.

I don't agree with everything Fain says, but we desperately need a worker-centered justice-oriented political machine in this country. As a UAW member I'm glad to hear him defend Mahmoud. If youre looking for a different perspective on tariffs, it's worth a listen. www.youtube.com/live/6xVVzvR...

I made this functioning solar panel mosaic in 2017 and barely exhibited it, so I'm particularly happy for it to be in this year's Solar Biennale at Mudac.

Every time I return to it my feelings about it change. Unfortunately, it feels more relevant than ever.
