Absolutely scandalous that £2.1 bn of overseas aid is still being used every year to subsidise the Home Office’s inability to decide asylum claims. And all the social problems this ineptitude is creating too. Put the resources into deciding their claims so there are no long-term asylum seekers.

Parliament is making a mockery of itself with these absurd terrorism laws, but a little more absurdism won’t hurt. Really looking forward to the vote in the commons when ‘Yvette Cooper’ is proscribed.
