This PBR, procedural, pixel art... thing is working better than expected.

The level looks ugly but all those rivets are expressed using just a normal map and the base color texture is procedural.

I just went and re-activated my Facebook account, just so I can completely remove it this time around.

Funny story: Journey had no automatic shadows. I painted them all by hand. The shadow texture was not hi-res. To get the iconic sunset columns to cast sharp shadows, I made sure that they aligned with the pixel grid of the texture. Here you can see the shadow map I painted.

I've been messing around with planet rendering in the Flax engine, finished up on geometry generation and its stupid fast.
