The data this project gathers makes strong passwords more compatible with website requirements across the web. It makes it faster to change a password on websites when initiated from a password manager. It helps merge identical entries from different, but related, domains together. [2/3]

Tech sure has dug itself into a hole if a technology like passkeys, which is a solution to one of the most pernicious problems in being a person with online accounts — the password problem — is viewed with skepticism because websites and apps are actually adopting them in unison.
Y'all I'm gonna be honest, I don't know what a passkey is and I don't like that everything now wants me to have one. Please don't explain it, I'm trying to know less about computers that aren't my job in 2026
