There's certainly been lots of uncertainty in the world lately and I know that does not make art a priority, but I'm still here making things.

These are a few of my one-of-a-kind raku vessels currently available and if you could help me find them a home with a like or share, I'd be grateful 🙏

Fresh from yesterday's raku firing, meet Perseus' Cloud.

Born from fire and smoke, this raku vessel is inspired by the Perseus Molecular Cloud. This little fragment of the cosmos, imprinted by fire, holds echoes of stars long gone.

Like us all, it is stardust.

'Snowflake' is a handmade raku fired ceramic polar bear. A little gay bear, made by a not so little gay bear who also happens to be a potter.

When it's cold outside he will warm your heart ❄️🐻‍❄️

We've been trying to receive a replacement product for something under warranty for months. After calling to follow up several times, we were told the orders were lost by their new system (AI). Today we received three replacements 😂😂
How much AI will cost businesses before that bubble bursts.

A charcoal drawing on toned paper I did of a photograph I took of my friend's daughter. The angle is from below, and the lighting is creating subtle eerie shadows. I wanted a macabre effect to this art, it is unclear if this is a floating head... and also her eyes are translucent, so she appears in a trance. There are mysterious marking down the side of her cheek. Close up pencil drawing of an eye looking to it's left/straight forward, with what looks like spiders legs crawling out from the bottom lid. There appears to be bits of spider web around the eye. I wanted to create the effect of a sinister symbiotic relationship. The 'host' looks strangely complicit. The artwork is entitled 'Home'. Pencil and charcoal portrait of agent cooper from twin peaks. The light source is from the viewers right, and casting strong shadows to the right of his face (viewer's left). Black and white. Graphite pencil drawing + watercolour on toned paper of a close up of a woman's face. She is in profile, only her nose and mouth is visible. She appears to have quite a sharp tooth. I have added colour tones in photoshop. Her nose and lips have a reddish tone, almost like blood. She has a scar/cut on her cheek. The art is called 'Drained'.

As the holidays approach, we are still here, creating art.

As the world burns, it seems only appropriate we are making raku, if only as a reminder that from fire comes new life.

Guess who turned one last week! We were out on a birthday walk to celebrate last week back when there was snow.

After losing my precious lady this Spring, it's nice to have this gentleman in our family. Hard to believe someone had returned him twice to the shelter. We'll keep him forever!

Born from fire and smoke in the unpredictable alchemy of raku, it's iridescent surface swirls with cosmic starlight, copper reds and nebula blues.
