Mayor Bass: This morning, it was frightening in Los Angeles to see tanks essentially rolling into MacArthur Park.

It was an egregious show of force. I have no idea what their purpose was. I don’t even think they detained anyone.

Los Angeles was peaceful before June 5. We need to go back to that.

Remember when MTG whined she “wouldn’t have voted for it” if she’d read the AI part? Well, Democrats are forcing the Big Ugly Budget to be read out loud—and it’s being streamed live. But the Senate floor? Empty. Not a single GOP Senator there to hear the bill that will crush millions of Americans.

Link to my AV synopsis of SF No Kings protest. Contains profanity. In gentler times I'd say don't watch if that bothers you. Now I say suck it up buttercup. If you haven't figured out that what Trump admin is doing to our country deserves profanity, you need to get educated in a big fucking hurry!

RFK Jr talking about the need for doctors to know how to treat measles for those who are unvaccinated.

“Only very sick kids should die from measles.”

No. They shouldn’t. That was the point of the vaccine. We eradicated the virus so children didn’t die.

Sick & disabled kids are not expendable!

Benen discusses Trump's bizarre idea of reopening Alcatraz.

“It’s unnecessary, impractical, inefficient and spectacularly expensive in equal measure.”
Republicans scramble to pretend reopening Alcatraz is a good idea (but it’s really not)
The problem isn’t that Donald Trump pitched an absurd idea about reopening Alcatraz. The problem are his sycophants who are playing along.
