i am somewhat glad that tomorrow is a non-student day because i do need some time away from the kids but also i would rather they just give us the fucking day off

There are two stray (I assume) cats that were meowing outside my bedroom window earlier so I went out to say hi but they were not ready for me yet BUT they have come back twice tonight mewing so assuming they are actually strays, the CDS might be working for me. I hope neither is pregnant tho lol.

a student i had two years ago, who did not speak a word of english, came up to me to ask me a question about yearbook. in english. i'm so proud of his progress in learning english! learning a second language is fucking hard and it makes me so happy to see students just thriving.

a teacher in a charter school in my school's town was arrested for lewd and lascivious behavior with a minor and i've heard from a lot of students whose parents didn't read the article beyond "town name" and "teacher" and didn't see the whole "charter school name" there. frustrating lack of reading.
