Who doesn't love a good laugh? I'm an easy audience for comedy as a fan of the easy laugh - puns, physical comedy, sight gags as well as more sophisticated setup in sketch comedy and good standup with callbacks to the first part of the show (Suzy Eddie Izzard is genius at that!)
Have a fave joke?

Welcome to 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 ™ 2026! As we move quickly through the 12 days of Christmas, I thought it made sense to share a small nativity that I found in Portugal. I love the handmade style and the fact that the rural nature of the Alentajas (where I picked this up) is represented. #TinyArtTour

As we wind down the year 2025, I thought it was appropriate to celebrate Landsat 7, a Earth orbiting satellite that has been in operation since 1999 and was decommissioned earlier this year. A remarkable work of precision and engineering that provided so much data (like over 3 petabytes.

Prepping a new audiobook project about paranormal activity means that my YouTube algo recommendation list has a VERY different look now :) #audiobooknarration #ufology #paranormal

Ending 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 ™ 2025 with work by my dad. I call myself a "techy-feely" person because I got the best of both worlds w/ an engineer father & a therapist mom. Dad is more than the stereotypical engineer. He has been into wood turning for a while and over time his work has grown so much!

If you are gathering with family and/or friends at this time of year, I hope hearing the sounds of those you love bring you the reward of love and safety.

Today's 𝙏𝙞𝙣𝙮 𝘼𝙧𝙩 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧 ™ entry is above the door to the screened porch and has been in my house for over 20 years. The artist is Deb Shmerler and the piece is titled "Hatreds Only Cease By Love". I thought it was a very creative wreath with science vibes so I just leave it up year round to enjoy.

Happy Solstice everyone!! May the longest night be filled with warmth and safety for us all.
December 21, 2025 at 3:02 PM
It is almost the Winter Solstice here in the Northern Hemisphere. The nights are much longer than the days and the Yule log is burnt to help usher in the light again. Soltices are important markers of the path of the sun through each year. Let's learn more about them!

With my love of functional pottery, it's no surprise, I find some art in my fridge with this awesome Prince themed butter dish today on our 𝙏𝙞𝙣𝙮 𝘼𝙧𝙩 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧 ™I love the use of the Prince symbol as part of the rooster along with other symbology & colors. It’s a favorite thing in my fridge.

Do you find the voice of a loved one comforting? I do find it interesting how different tones of voice bring up varying emotions. We all remember the reaction when your mom used ALL of your names 🫣 . Voice actors provide - the right tone of voice needed for the script. That is why it is acting. 🎭

What's up, doc? Today, our 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 ™ stops a stop at another work of mine. This time from many years ago. In the 70s, my mom went through a phase of making a lot of ceramics. And, I accompanied her to the studio from time to time. Bugs was one of my first artworks.

As the weather cools, the sky gets clearer and at night, we can see the stars even better. Which made me think about the different kinds of stars we see. Did you know there are different star types? It's all part of the star life cycle...let's learn some more, shall we? 🌟 🤩

Wish I knew more @ the artist on this stop of our 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 ™. This collage hangs in my kitchen near the sink to remind me of my "Girl Power" as I wash dishes. It is a gift from my sister-in-law from an art show in Columbus, Ohio. I love the use of a key for the hanger and the dimensional parts.

This episode of The Sky is NOT The Limit is from a question from a viewer asking about dust devils, I have seen some but never really understood how they formed. And it is so interesting how they manifest in different ways. Have you experienced one? Where was it?

When traveling, I like to bring back art created locally. So today's 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 ™ stop is an example of that. I got this piece from a sidewalk artist down from Sacre Coeur in Paris. A wonderful travel moment.

What do you collect when you travel?

I think we all innately know that sound and emotion are strongly connected. Look at music, it has so much to do with feelings of all types from boundless joy to the deepest despair.
Go to happy songs include: Stay Up Late (Talking Heads), I Just Want to Celebrate (Rare Earth) and Kiss (Prince)

I'm a big fan of functional pottery. And, that includes salt and pepper shakers. I'm not a collector but I do have a few artistic ones. This set from the late 60's certainly represents my interest in space.🚀

We've had a lot of clear blue autumn skies recently, but there are still clouds around from so I figured it was time to do another look at some more cloud types. I hope every cloud you see has a silver lining you can mine! ⛅

Thanks for sticking around for 20 episodes!

On the 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 ™ today, we are enjoying this fun piece. I come from a family of storytellers so a friend made me this storytelling bear sculpture to celebrate that. Inspired by the storytelling sculptures of the Pueblo, I love that it is a nod to the bears found here in the Great Smoky Mtns.

I'm not a fan of scary movies. Young Frankenstein is more my speed.
What do you find most scary? The lighting? Jump scares? The silences? The music?
I know the ominous music totally works for me...I mean, if you heard that music would you go down into that dark basement alone?? Happy Halloween! 🎃

Art delights, surprises, entertains, challenges, and more. Today's 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 ™ is sheer delight and surprise. A gift, it was just waiting for me to notice it upon returning from a trip. Owls are special and this piece lets me celebrate them as well as a good friend. #TinyArtTour

The Atlantic hurricane season runs through Nov 30. My location in a landlocked state meant I looked at hurricanes with a bit of distance. After seeing the damage caused by Helene, I have lot more interest in hurricanes, how they are formed and tracked.

Today's stop on our 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 ™ is near the kitchen. This plastic brick piece was in a holiday stocking one year and is the spitting image of Dashiell, who shared the house with us. We miss him a lot but enjoy having him around in this form to make us smile. #TinyArtTour
