This is why we need juries! No jury = kangaroo court..!
Pleased to see the jury make this decision.

We need to have eyes wide open this is exactly why the Government wants to abolish juries.

People protesting against a genocide are not the criminals here - it's the politicians who continue to provide cover.

Watching the usual political circus unfold.

Mandelson is now playing the usual lightning-rod role for an outraged political establishment. Little to no acknowledgement he’s the tip of an iceberg.

This is part of a political culture that’s pushing our democracy towards corporate oligarchy.

They've claimed Hannah Spencer isn't actually a plumber.

She's here to put the record straight!

Not only has the Prime Minister confirmed he was aware of Mandelson's ongoing friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein before he was appointed Ambassador, it was actually flagged by official security vetting
BREAKING: “Can the PM tell us did the official security vetting he received mention Mandelson’s ongoing relationship with the paedophile Jeffrey Epstein?”

I've signed @bellribeiroaddy.bsky.social's bill to ban the sale of human remains (with exceptions for legit medical purposes).

Most decent people would reasonably assume that selling human body parts of unknown origin on Facebook for profit would already be illegal... but they'd be wrong.
I'm in Parliament today, presenting a ten-minute rule bill to ban the sale of human remains.

Human body parts are not curiosities to trade and decorate with.

We should ban this macabre trade for good.

Every complaint I had against Chomsky concerned the same problem: the way he excused or dismissed atrocities committed by his team: ie regimes and forces opposed to Western hegemonic power. As his friend, Epstein was given the same pass.
In other words, it's not an anomaly.
It's the same story.
1. Noam Chomsky's response to the first tranche of Epstein docs - arrogant, high-handed, obfuscatory and, we now know, dishonest - reminded me of something: his response to my questions about genocide denial, 15 years ago. 🧵

And it gets worse. As this excellent thread and reporting by @danneidle.bsky.social shows, Mandelson actually suggested to Epstein that yet another plutocrat should "mildly threaten" *his own government*, so that the filthy rich could avoid paying their taxes: bsky.app/profile/dann...
New Epstein emails show Peter Mandelson secretly advising JPMorgan’s CEO on how to fight Labour’s 2009 bankers’ bonus tax - even suggesting he “mildly threaten” the Chancellor.

Mandelson was Business Secretary at the time.

A year later, he was seeking work with JPM.

Remember that Mandelson quote? "We are intensely relaxed about people getting filthy rich, as long as they pay their taxes". By "we" he meant the Labour government. Turns out that he - as a government minister - was lobbying on behalf of his filthy rich chums to ensure they paid less tax.

If this is what's going on now, just imagine the levels of corruption we'd descend into if the Farage cult got anywhere near Number 10.

Reform UK Ltd. are basically a front for foreign and offshore wealth and oligarchy.

Britain would become nothing more than an ATM.
It's rare to see how lobbyists operate. But the Epstein-Mandelson correspondence shows us what happens all the time: plutocrats and government ministers conspiring against the public interest. This is why all lobbying should be in the public domain, but despite Labour and Con promises, it's not. 🧵
