For the second time this year I've been confused with the award-winning queer Irish director Aisling Walsh (as opposed to moi, the queer Irish would-be writer)... still hoping this confusion will, somehow, benefit my literary career 🙈

This goes for the so-called "human rights" lawyers too, and I'm saying this as someone with 15+ years experience in the human rights world 😒

I walked back to northern Gaza for six hours with nothing. I'm carrying my children. Now I'm sitting in the street with no shelter, food, clothes, or medical treatment. We have nothing. Please, please, donate to my family to buy a tent and food. I'm so tired 😭😭

That thing in period dramas where we'll get a woman pregnant "out of wedlock" to create drama, but then we'll make her miscarry or kill off her child to take care of the "mess" and so she can carry on being single and interesting for the sake of the plot 🤷🏼♀️

Funny how a country that colonised and wreaked ecological destruction on a significant portion of the world has a poor connection with "nature"... it's almost like those two things might be connected 🤔
“Although Britain is believed to have one of the highest levels of membership of environmental organisations in the world,
this apparently pro-nature indicator was found to have little impact on closeness to nature”

Britain one of least ‘nature-connected’ nations in world – with Nepal the most
