Airport flight displays are undergoing a re-cardification.

From Pittsburgh to New York and Washington, airlines are adopting different card-like aesthetics to display flights like the flip signs of old.

Some approaches work better than others.

I really like it when airports locate gate displays to places visible from the concourse.

I find it informative and, as Woods Bagot Principal Katy Mercer told me, it reduces "gate lice."
