This is the same for aspiring and even experienced translators. You cannot learn if you rely on AI. If you do not learn then you cannot improve. You will never get better at your craft nor even gain the skills to see when the machine is wrong.
Even accepting the premise that AI produces useful writing (which no one should), using AI in education is like using a forklift at the gym. The weights do not actually need to be moved from place to place. That is not the work. The work is what happens within you.

I'm not holding out much hope, but I'm still hoping I can find some of the Cheri+ volumes with Given chapters that I'm missing when I'm in Japan 🥹 Gonna go through as many second-hand bookshops as I can.

I hate that one word from Shizusumi piqued my interest a bit too much, but I don't really want to jump into this very deep rabbit hole, because I don't care about Shizu (or Hiiragi) enough to spare my time for this...
