What a fantastic day in Doncaster North with Ed Miliband!

We visited a great group of students at Ridgewood School, followed by an important roundtable discussion on mental health with local charities and organisations.

Thanks for having me!

As part of Labour’s Plan for Change, we are investing £300 million to jumpstart clean energy supply chains, create new jobs, and power up Britain using homegrown offshore wind.

This Government scrapped the Tories' VIP helicopter contract.

It was a grossly wasteful symbol of a government totally out of touch with the problems facing the rest of the country.

This Labour Government is doing things differently.

First time representing the Government at Treasury Questions yesterday. Looking forward to helping the Tories understand that unless we deliver secure, home-grown renewable energy through cheap renewable generation, there is no energy security ahead.

As a former teacher, I know how important breakfast clubs are in boosting children’s school attainment.

Great to get out in Belper, Derbyshire with @jonathandaviesmp.bsky.social to campaign for our brilliant Belper candidate Emma Monkman!

After 8 years in charge the Tories have brought Derbyshire County Council to the brink of bankruptcy. Labour will deliver the fresh start Derbyshire needs.

This #InternationalMigrantsDay, let's change the narrative.

Here are six reasons why the UK NEEDS immigration.

We are a nation made richer by immigration, both figuratively and literally.

Sterling close to its highest value against the Euro since the Brexit referendum. Markets appear to be rewarding the prospect of long term British political stability. Not something you’ve been able to say for a while.

Migration is a net benefit to the UK.

Socially, culturally - and economically.
All Badenoch's questions to Starmer at #PMQs were about immigration - and how to reduce it.

But no one thought to mention this.

A 2018 study by Oxford Economics found the average migrant contributed £440 more to the public purse per year than a 'native', AND cost the NHS less.

I addressed the Energy Security and Net Zero Committee's session on retrofitting homes for net zero.

Households want to see that the benefit to installing heat pumps, solar panels or insulation is a reduction in energy bills. This is what our Warm Homes Plan will deliver.

We need new legislation to prevent any future Government deregulating them again!

It’s shameful that child poverty increased by 700,000 under the last Tory Government.

Tackling child poverty is at the heart of this Labour Government's mission & I’m proud to sit on the child poverty taskforce which is developing our strategy to do this.

Most areas across Great Britain have experienced a fall in life expectancy. 📢

This puzzle is down to that headline of stable wealth inequality hiding changes in inequalities between and within age groups.
