What’s bizarre is a lot of players and fans demanded people stop treating women’s sports like a charity when the people doing that *the most* were the ones bankrolling the sports themselves.

Ultimately, this is the end result of rugged American individualism. Just a bunch of mean, lonely, isolationist people who love their material things and to engage with the world through a screen.

I’ve never understood why alternate time zones don’t have their own centerpiece NYE shows. CBS has Nashville now but nobody is doing a tentpole event in LA? Vegas?
