Jewish students, members of the group 'Occupy Against Antisemitism,' are barricading themselves in the student council building in protest of the hostile atmosphere on campus; 'We demand that the University of Berlin be a safe place for Jewish and Israeli students,' the protesters declared.
After two years in which buildings and rooms at universities in Berlin became focal points for pro-Palestinian activists—who barricaded themselves there to protest Israel and the war in Gaza-Jewish students at Technische Universitat Berlin (Berlin Technical University) have decided to adopt the same tactic. Since Monday morning they have been barricading themselves in the building of the general student assembly. The occupation is intended to shine a spotlight on and draw attention to the antisemitic biases occurring at the university, and the praise that terror organizations receive across campus and within the student council and among the student body in general.

To understand antizionism, we must first understand that Jew-hatred is a structural feature of monotheistic cultures. It takes on various forms, but its ancient cycle persists: anti-Jewish libels and conspiracy theories stigmatize Jews and lead to violence, which is then denied.

To be clear, none of this makes Jews safer. Indeed, the opposite: It is normalizing the idea that Jews cannot be protected at a soccer match, at the theater, at a concert, and wherever else they might want to gather. This, in turn, makes everyone less safe because it makes violence the most effective tactic to determine which cultural events are allowed and which are not. It's an invitation to anarchy. As always, anti-Semitism is the gateway drug to the complete collapse of societal norms.

The documentary centred on a 13-year-old son of Hamas's deputy minister of agriculture. Hamas is proscribed as a terrorist organisation by the UK, Israel and others. Ofcom's statement said: "Our investigation found that the programme's failure to disclose that the narrator's father held a position in the Hamas-run administration was materially misleading. "It meant that the audience did not have critical information which may have been highly relevant to their assessment of the narrator and the information he provided. "Trust is at the heart of the relationship between a broadcaster and its audience, particularly for a public service broadcaster such as the BBC. "This failing had the potential to erode the significantly high levels of trust that audiences would have placed in a BBC factual programme about the Israel-Gaza war." Misleading the audience is "among the most serious" breaches that can be committed by a broadcaster, it said. The on-air apology ordered by Ofcom is the regulator's first sanction on the BBC since the scandal over Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand's comments to actor Andrew Sachs on Radio 2 in 2009.

Two sentences, two exclamation points from the government representative after his petition to ban fans of the Jewish team was successful. Of course, the Gentleman from Birmingham didn't do this all on his own: he owes a debt of gratitude to the Jew-hunters of Amsterdam and the Yom Kippur killer and the Islamic "scholars" who call for mob violence with impunity...while some comedian gets arrested at Heathrow for making fun of a trans person on Twitter. To review: a member of Parliament called for Maccabi fans to be banned from a soccer match because violent antiSemites didn't want them there. He then celebrated when his demand was honored by the local police. What kind of country does this sound like? Not all of Britain's leaders have lost their minds or their souls just yet. "This is a national disgrace," posted the Conservative opposition leader Kemi Badenach. She added that if it stands, the decision "sends a horrendous and shameful message: there are parts of Britain where Jews simply cannot go." A fan of the home team pronounced himself "appalled" as well, and then made a very good point to the Telegraph: "Birmingham is one of the venues for the European Championship in 2028, but the police's decision must surely put that at risk if they are saying they can't guarantee public safety." The fan's logic is sound, but there's a hitch: The police aren't really saying they can't guarantee public safety. They are really saying that they won't guarantee public safety. You just have to listen carefully to hear it.

The Queens College event — which was happening over Zoom — was abruptly interrupted by what appeared to be a group of attendees who turned on their cameras and microphones and began yelling slurs, including "kill all the Jews" and "go back to Auschwitz." Instead of faces on the screen, pornographic and disturbing images appeared, including pictures of dead bodies and video clips of male masturbation.

Tourists disembarking from an Israeli cruise ship were met by protesters reportedly hurling rocks and metal bars at a port in #Crete. Police quickly dealt with the demonstrators. It is at least the 3rd time this year that Israelis have been singled out by protesters.

There's been a lot of talk recently about how Israel is badly losing the propaganda war. And I don't necessarily disagree. But I'm just not sure how Israel would turn it around: Have IDF soldiers wear press vests? Ultimately the challenge here is that the world contains a great many people who want to see the state of Israel destroyed, or at least defeated. And that's why they pretend that anybody with a press vest is a journalist. They don't care what happens to random journalists, they care what happens to Hamas.
