Aftersound is a new performance series in and around Portland Maine, focusing on multi-channel and spatial audio. The name derives from Maryanne Amacher's concept of the "aftersound", the sonic sensation that lingers after the sound itself has stopped.
John Fireman is a multimedia artist focusing on video and sound. He holds a BFA from Yale University and an MFA from the Maine college of Art. He teaches digital media at Bowdoin College and lives on Peaks Island with his wife and dog.

John will be presenting a quad spatial composition on Friday.

Our first show will be Fri 1/24 at the UNE Gallery on Stevens Ave in Portland, Maine. We’re very excited for the three artists involved, all of whom have explored spatial audio in their work.
