Canada is part of a global effort to eliminate #HepatitisC by 2030. Unfortunately, the #COVID19 pandemic seriously set back those efforts.

Dr. Naveed Janjua and team compared hep C testing rates post 2020 with predictions based on pre-pandemic trends, and found they were much lower than expected.

That's a problem nurses deal with 100 times over. Dr. Davina Banner and team conducted interviews with 12 Albertan ICU nurses to explore the strategies they use to resist #AlarmFatigue. For example, they rank alarm by importance and urgency. #nursing

A team of researchers, including Advancing Health scientists Drs. Gadermann and Puyat, examined BC adolescent #MentalHealth care access before and after hospitalization.

They found that migrant youths, particularly 1st gen refugees, accessed mental health care services much less than non-migrants.

Each year, about 60,000 Canadians experience out-of-hospital #CardiacArrests, with only 1 in 10 people surviving without immediate help. A new project by Advancing Health trainee, Dr. Jacob Hutton, seeks to bring the numbers down using smart wearables.
