I’ve decided to pause my social media diet during Lent. It is going to be hard, because I really enjoy and appreciate many people on here, even if I am not super active. Now I gave a few days to think about how I will fill the gap.

I am seeing American claiming that Canada wants to assume California. I know Elizabeth May joked about this, but honestly, even the bluest states are far too red (especially outside the cities). No thank you.

Should Canada have publicly funded elections? No fundraising and every registered party gets an equal budget? It would solve a few problems; but could it work?

I’m not in support of reopening the east-west pipeline talks. Canada should be investing in green energy instead.

Today the news completely overwhelmed me. Nothing in particular, I think it was a cumulative effect. My heart goes out to anyone who is truly enduring trauma right now, because my life is presently stable and it is still too much. May we all find peace and strength.
