Perfect recommendation from @haz.dev now CRA is officially deprecated (finally)
Vite is currently the easiest way to start using React.
If you're just getting started, I recommend checking out vite.new/react-ts or running the following command:
npm create vite@latest -- --template react-ts
Then you can use plugins to add extra features if needed.

Simple is hard
Had one of those days where I was beating my head against 2 days' worth of code, not able to get it to do *quite* what I wanted. Ended up stripping it all away. Then, within 30 minutes, I had solved the root problem plus 2 other problems on my TODO with one 8 line function. Welp.
