The SIMS is a game I have enjoyed for almost 30 years and has been a much needed refuge for me when dealing with the challenges of the world. With today’s news that EA has been acquired by a Saudi backed PE, I’m no longer going to play this game.

Nobody is cheering for what happened today. What is happening is those of us who are sick of gun violence are trying to hold up a mirror to those who have ignored it. To take accountability & work to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

I’ve had it with people comparing the cost of living in pre-2000 without also explaining why things were cheaper. It’s romanticized without mentioning that tax rates for high earners were also higher & more equitable

It’s not just you. If you weren’t already living comfortably, things are getting worse. Groceries, utilities, insurance, it’s all going up. Wages. Stagnant. My mortgage is fixed but that darn property tax isn’t. Supplemental my ass. I make a good wage, but it’s getting harder. It’s not just you 😘

My hubby’s employer has notified their workers that they will no longer offer medical insurance after September 30. Wonder how many other small businesses are doing the same 🤔

Hi from L.A! Things are actually quiet. Yes there are protests, but LA is big & most of it is humming along like any other day. Deploying Marines is an act of domestic aggression.

When it became clear the 45 would be 47, I cried. I cried for what felt like a month. I now realize I was mourning my country. I knew it would never be the same. It would hurt in ways it never should and once over, something else would take it place. Hope that something is better 😢💕
