Today's #Academic #Oracle is The Abstract and it's incredibly apt for us today. One of the hardest challenges is to take something big and make it small. Today we have big feelings but to impactful we need to put them into small, consistent actions. It's hard but you got this!

Today's #Academic #Oracle is The Eraser. Nothing is permanent. And that's a good thing.

It is with deep delight that I can finally answer the question, "Tell me, Mrs. Rita, what's it say in my tarot?"

Today's #Academic #Oracle is The conference Acceptance.

Take time to celebrate the little wins. It's the only thing that keeps us going in the long run <3

I almost forgot today's #Academic #Oracle!

The Abstract seems like a timely reminder that it's okay to focus on the small things you can deliver.

I don't know how to explain to The Youth (TM) what turning 40 is like except that I am saving my workshop registration emails from the county extension office so I can apply to a competitive civilian arborist program next year.

This AND the numbers have been run repeatedly: it costs more to investigate fraud into federal assistance programs than there is actual fraud. The govt would save money by letting the very few bad actors get away with it instead of assuming all people who need help are bad actors.
Think firing the entire federal workforce will save America money?

Federal civilian employees account for just 4% of the federal budget. Even if someone like Musk—or any president—fired all of us, it wouldn’t make much of a dent in government spending. Don’t fall for it.

I’m a part time librarian and I just want to echo what I’ve seen other librarians say recently: there is a HUGE uptick in requests for social justice, climate justice, abolition, history, etc books and I just want to say nobody is giving up the fight. If anything people are fighting harder #library

Today's #Academic #OracleCard is The Highlighter. In a world where distraction and cruelty are the norm focus and joy become rebellion. Today, focus on the part of your life that can bring you the most joy right now and revel in it!

Today's #AcademicOracle is very straightforward, and so is its interpretation. Even when the fight is bigger than you, your skills are needed. Get caffeinated, get grounded, and get out there <3

Donald Trump, Jr., Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump have never been hired for their abilities or on merit.

It's always been because they have a rich Daddy, which is also how their own father "qualified" for all of his first jobs.

Today's #AcademicOracle is The Seminar Paper. Like most things, whether this a celebration or a hurdle depends on your positionality. If it feels like a hurdle then what would it take to turn it into a celebration?
