10d doxy failure leads to #lyme carditis presenting as sudden cardiac arrest - if pt had been treated with longer course would he have experienced sometimes fatal carditis? Not always AV block. @Drlipid @JohnsHopkinsSPH pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC...

ER suspected Lyme enough to test - which means with shortness of breath they should have immediately treated for carditis instead of waiting for results. Instead, patient died.

ER suspected Lyme enough to test - which means with shortness of breath they should have immediately treated for carditis instead of waiting for results. Instead, patient died.

Read this thread, but especially this one - “you have no right to erase an illness simply b/c you find its existence to be politically inconvenient” (I’ll add scientifically inconvenient as well, as in, it invalidates your body of research….)
