I knew it was only a matter of time

What do you do when you return from sledding w/ your child only to find out that you are out of hot coco? You break out pots, milk & Belgian chocolate. Set up a double boiler, infuse milk w/ brown sugar & cinnamon. Whisk your chocolate into the milk. kids said it was the best hot coco they ever had.

My son made his first pan sauce today. It was a Velouté with chicken stock with parsley and he added a splash of champagne vinegar.

It so really delicious. I’m really proud of him.

Went camping during the Beaver Moon over Maryland. So beautiful at night and was amazingly bright at night. Never needed a flashlight.
