The Founders were so concerned about bribery that the Constitution forbids it three separate times. Two emoluments clauses ban officials—unambiguously including the president—from accepting things of value, plus bribery is the only named impeachable offense besides treason.

Unprecedentedly corrupt.

How have we survived all these years?
Trump claimed tonight that the U.S. would be "virtually defenseless" against other nations if the Supreme Court strikes down a slew of tariffs, which it is set to hear oral arguments against tomorrow.
Trump's closing argument: Tariff case is "life or death" for the U.S.
The Supreme Court will tomorrow hear oral arguments challenging the legality of a key part of his economic agenda.

If the administration has such great evidence that these targets are narcoterrorists who pose an imminent threat to the national security of the United States, why are they not being tried in our criminal courts? 🤔

About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages
