A short while ago, my copy of Hector Oesterheld and Francisco López's The Eternaut finally arrived after 3 months of waiting. After it became my comics Holy grail of last year to obtain, I cracked it open on New Year's eve and began reading. The hype is absolutely worth it.

This, and to be honest when I read The Boys and Crossed I can't help but think elements of nihilism and cynicism people highlight about them tend to be so selective. Both of these comics have bleak elements as well as elements humanity, tenderness, and compassion.

Ennis is actually a good writer when:
