The 63 Sport Welfare Officers embedded into the #ActivePartnerships network are a key part of making safeguarding an ongoing priority.

They add safeguarding capacity and expertise to the work of NGBs and Active Partnerships.

The SWO network is a collaborative project supported by key partners.
Sport England and UK Sport, who jointly commissioned the Whyte Review to look into systemic abuse in gymnastics in Britain, have provided an update on the 19 policy commitments we made in 2023.

Our Active Communities: Skills Fund programme has received renewed funding through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The Fund offers fully funded qualifications in areas like coaching, fitness instructing and volunteering to people working in East Lindsey, South Holland and Boston.
