I’m so tired of feeling this level of despair and hopelessness. I’m tired of bad people not facing consequences, and not feeling like I have any power to make the world better for my kids. I’m so tired of wanting to know what the point even is anymore. This wasn’t what it was supposed to be like.

Why is the music that I listened to through high school and college now nearly exclusively all I want to listen to again? And why does so much of it seem even MORE relevant now? 😵💫😖

When they came for immigrants, it pissed me off. When they came for trans folks, it pissed me off. When they came for scientists, and when they came for charity parts of our government, it pissed me off. When they came for park rangers, it pissed me off. I need to do more than this. How do I help?

Well, we’ve been trying to decide, for months at this point, if we were emigrating or homesteading… we finally decided on homesteading. Spent the weekend working prep, making raised beds, buying chickens and getting ready for goats!

Sometimes we use AI to jokingly gaslight our children into believing our jokes. Hopefully this will be the extent of their future therapy: “Mom and Dad always told me that Oklahoma Jake was way better than Texas Pete, but we couldn’t get it in the stores in Florida.” 😂🙈 #parenting is fun
