Fargo City Commission reverses mayor's decision to stop public comment broadcast
Commissioners said they were not aware that the city would stop airing public comments. The city will look at policy to limit topics as it continues to broadcast comments from residents.

There are ways of maintaining decorum at Fargo City Commission meetings that don't involve diminishing transparency and accessibility. Striking our ability to hear public comments is not the solution.

Without consulting the public, the Fargo City Commission has announced it will no longer broadcast the public comment portion of its meetings.

The people deserve to hear from the people, and Fargo deserves transparency.

Even the Terminator agrees, when our voting rights are threatened, we the people have the right to challenge those discriminatory election practices. The Supreme Court must stand up for our Indigenous neighbors in North Dakota and beyond.
