We're absolutely delighted that @acha020.bsky.social has now launched! Our Faculty is at the heart of this new collaboration with @bartscharity.bsky.social and Barts Health NHS Trust and we can't wait to be able to shout about the amazing research this new centre will lead.
“We all know the statistics – people are living longer but not necessarily with a good quality life. There has never been a more important moment to launch ACHA.”

Dr Amanjit Jhund, Chief Executive at Whipps Cross University Hospital, kicks off today’s celebration event.

A fantastic afternoon spent yesterday bringing together colleagues from the Centre for Ageing Resilience in an Ageing Environment and our team @acha020.bsky.social - lots of possibilities for cross-London collaboration to bring the whole research pipeline for ageing together end-to-end!

35% of Waltham Forest is inactive. But we know it's important to move our bodies, particularly as we age.

Our last sandpit workshop assembled community members, frontline staff & researchers to tackle this. Huge thanks to everyone who made the room buzz—your ideas will shape our strategy!

One of the care home residents attending our @acha020.bsky.social workshop on Monday told us he was a recent media celebrity. Today he had this sent through to us.

I think the staff and residents in this clip make a very good case for adequately funding long-term care.

How can we improve care for people with dementia, delirium & memory issues?

Led by our professor @proflizsampson.bsky.social, our 2nd sandpit workshop brought together clinicians, researchers & community members: voices & views that will shape ACHA's strategy.

Huge thanks to all involved!

Today was an important part of ACHA’s journey. We held our first research sandpit workshop.

How care homes across North East London can come together to form a ‘living lab’.

We welcomed people from across the frontline, facilitated by professor Adam Gordon.

Huge thanks to everyone who took part.
