Glad my graduate alma mater cut 60 degree programs in subjects that require people to think so that they could offer this. Looking forward to living in a world full of Prompt Engineers.

So this is really cool: a stamp impression from the library of the Ilkhanid vizier Rashid al-Din (d. 1318). It reads “pious endowment [waqf] of the Rashidiyya library,” & it may have been inspired by Chinese prints/stamps. Stamped waqf notices are totally unheard of for this time!

I gave the @fallofcivspod.bsky.social some assistance on this project. It's an impressive six hours long overview of the Mongol Empire; I am excited to see how he brought it all together and recommend you check it out as well!

I just created a feed for all posts tagged with these two hashtags. It also responds to #mongolempire and #innerasia. Feel free to suggest other (more convenient?) ones. It is, of course, still quite empty for now, but with time and your participation, it may grow.

Simon started to organise our tümen!
Dear fellow Mongolists, Inner Asianists, Eurasianists, and everyone else: to better find each other, I suggest we use the hashtag #mongolsky for all our posts related to Mongolia and the Mongol Empire, and #tengri (did you get it? Because we are on Blue SKY! Hahaha!) for broader Eurasian topics.
