Using the character name as the text sample is so simplistically brilliant. I've got some template files to update!
With each new character introduced in Minor Threats, my morgue file of caption styles grows! I give each of them a caption that reflects their costume...

I love Arthurian tales, but 99% of them do Lady Morgen (Morgana/Morgan le Fay/whatever) super dirty. She's always an extremely unconvincing Bad Guy (even in the worst light, I can't class her as an actual villain).

The effect isn't quite the same, due to the frame rate of the video, but ABBA Voyage spins to match the visual theme of the album. I am delighted.

Thanks to the power of streaming TV, I have just found out that Debra Messing makes an excellent Lucille Ball, and I'm so sad I missed it in the original Will and Grace run/reruns!

Today's random brain word: Tarpaulin.

Which I embarrassingly looked up the meaning of, to find that it is the full name of a tarp. Why my brain stored one bit of information, without the seemingly obvious other, remains a mystery.

As always, thank you brain for joining us today.

If you can get your hands on a Daiso circle cutter, DO IT. Made such quick work of my headphone cover project.

I do a good boot! Hands are a commonplace event. I'm good at folding research into fiction.

But strongest at? Gosh who knows. I do a pretty good job in general, but I think it would take another person to rank things.
Artists, I think we're all too comfortable sharing our imposter syndrome.

I would love to see you step out of your comfort zone and confidently state what you think you're actually really good at.

No self deprecation, just what you think you're the strongest at

Is anyone brave eniough? 👀

Top of the stack today, just got in @jesselonergan.bsky.social's Faster. @bulgilhanpress.com did a fantastic job with the printing and it's a lovely piece of visual storytelling.

Finally watched Knives Out and Glass Onion. Apparently there's a third and I'll get to it eventually.

I know I'm supposed to say that Knives Out is the superior film, but Glass Onion felt way more like a murder mystery. We're a big murder mystery family.

If you heard screeching this morning, my apologies. It seems Revue Starlight is getting another series and honestly, this Winter just keeps getting better.

Future Time Magazine Journalist: So give me a snapshot of a day in the life of an artist.

Me: I... Well I spend a lot of time taking things in and out of my pockets... Yeah, it's a lot of pocket work.

Ugh. Winter feels so amazing. The sun peaked over a few houses just as "Death and All His Friends" came on the random play. Just a beautiful time to take in the morning.

Historian: It's a shame we don't have more artifacts of this time period.

The time period: Why would we pristinely preserve our shopping lists, they're literally trash.

Say what you want about the effect of cellphones on society, but there's no doubt that they've given artists some fascinating hand shapes to figure out!

Reading Absolute Wonder Woman, Vol. 1. It's great. Love it. One question though: Why are most of the issues so DARK? Not dark like gritty, but let's bump up the midtones by 20% dark.

Take two, exhausted from a work week, a day of teaching, and finishing a box. Blanket is secured, books are stacked, and if my phone even blinks...
