Super Mom - Gator Days
Panel 1 Penelope is dropping Olivia off at school. They say goodbye with smiles and optimism towards the day. Penelope: Bye, Sweety! I love you. Have fun at school! Olivia: LOVE YOU MOM! Panel 2 Penelope runs into Liam and his Mother. The two cheerfully greet each other. Fern: Penelope! It's good to see you. Penelope: We need to catch up! I've been so busy. Fern: You do so much. You're a great mother. Panel 3 Penelope is in her car and on her way to work. Her mind wanders to all she has to do and all she's been doing. Penelope: I'm getting it all done! I'm keeping the girls fed, clothed, and happy. All on my own. Panel 4 Penelope deflates a little at this thought. Exhaustion catches up with her. She's taking care of a lot and it's leaving her tired. Penelope: I don't know how long I can keep this up.

Polly & Dan (Part 4) - Gator Days
Panel 1 Polly and Dan are sitting in the school hallway. Polly is starting to come calm down a little after experiencing some heavy anxiety. Dan has his favorite soda next to him, Soda Flavored Soda. Polly: I was called to the school office. And it made me worry that my mom or sister got hurt. Panel 2 Polly begins to feel a little agitated with herself. Polly: Ever since my dad died, I'm scared of losing them. I never used to worry like this. Panel 3 Dan: That's rough. But I'm sure you worry because you love them. Panel 4 Dan: It sucks that realizing how much people mean to you comes with new fears.

There was a TTRPG thing that never panned out but I still like my character idea for it. His name is Pigglesmith and he was going to go on a journey to learn what love is.

Your Friend's Mom - Gator Days
Panel 1 Penelope is picking up Olivia from school. Olivia is excited to see her and show her mom how well she did on a test. Olivia: MAMA IS HERE! Mama! I got a 98 on the big test. Panel 2 Penelope: Sweetie, that's wonderful! I'm so proud of you. Olivia: And Gustopher got a perfect score! Gustopher is looking at his test results. He received a perfect score. If I was a really clever, I would have put some written something interesting on the papers. Unfortunately, I'm not smart enough to know what a test that has received a perfect score would look like so it's just scribbles. Panel 3 Penelope walks up to Gustopher to let him know that she's proud of the good job he has done. Penelope: Good job, Gustopher. I'm proud of you too. Panel 4 Gustopher will remember that. Gustopher smiles and holds his test results closely. He feels happy that he did so well today and it feels extra nice when a friend's parent confirms it. He can't wait to show his dad the test results.

Blue and Pink - Gator Days
Panel 1 Mrs. Birdshout is distributing cupcakes to students. She is firmly devoted to this task of sugary treat distribution and has been up all night planning. Mrs. Birshout is in dire need of a hobby. Mrs. Birdshout: Remember, it's one cupcake per student. And the blue is for boys and pink is for girls. Panel 2 Gustopher takes a blue cupcake and Olivia takes a pink. While neither of them are too concerned about the color of their cupcakes, they are confused that they would be distributed in such a manner. Gustopher: Why is blue for boys and pink for girls? Mrs. Birdshout: That's just how it is. Olivia: But why? Mrs. Birdshout: Because- Panel 3 Mrs. Birdshout doesn't know what to say. She feels that there has to be a concrete reason to connects these colors to these genders but she's drawing a blank. She just keeps staring into the distance. Panel 4 Mrs. Birdshout's world is shattered. She doesn't know what to think. She watches the sunset and begins to question everything.

I’m a black shoujo mangaka from the states based in Tokyo. I just finished my first series at two volumes and am in the midsts of pitching my next series. So far all my professional work has been in Japanese, but hopefully I’ll have something out in English this year!

I know he’s busy having fun and we text a bit everyday but I wish he’d call me more… especially after I told him I miss him… I know audio quality might not be the best but why is it so hard to try and make it work. I don’t get it but I want to understand 😞

It’s tough being sensitive in so many situations

I was having such a good morning too and now I’m back to having some weight in my heart. 😞
