Ok, now a third author has come to me saying they were referred by someone. Now the person referring me is Brian Cook, a retired literary agent in Australia, and this "Brian" tells the author to email me at submissions@anniebomke.com. This is not my email address.

I was awarded a Ditmar for Best Short Story of 2025 for BELLOW OF THE STEAMSHIP COW and another for LET THE CAT IN, the podcast I co-host with Kaaron Warren and J. Ashley-Smith. Ditmars have been awarded annually since 1969, and are basically the Australian Hugos. Congrats all. Deeply honoured.

Ok, I've now had two authors email me today saying they got emails from someone named Ashley Gille who told them to contact me at this fake email address. If you get an email like this, don't respond. You can email me at the address on my website and I will confirm it's a scam.

Apparently, there is someone scamming self-published authors, telling them to reach out to me at this email address: anniebomkeliterary@gmail.com. This is not my email. I'm not sure what this person's endgame is. Do they impersonate me at this address and ask writers for money?
