I do get the feeling that whoever wins next few years of political conflict - there will be no place for trans people. The "left" seem to be uncritically supportive of transphobic media like the BBC & nowhere do they ever talk about trans rights. Unless the Green Party can survive intact. Unlikely.

Too many tv shows try to show me important plot elements before i even know who the characters are which means i don't take it in, then have to go back to the beginning to see the stuff that wasn't initially interesting to me.

It will resolve itself by playing out meaning many will die, the world will suffer, there will be conflict, but in a few decades the world will be a better place as was Europe just 2 decades after the Nazis were defeated. Trouble is fascism wasn't fully eradicated. We failed, ultimately.
From get-go, not calling this fascist power grab, MAGA Murder Bill, abductions, crimes against humanity & so on, has left Americans confused & thinking this will resolve itself via voting or courts or magical elves.
