I did not write this book to explain Gaza. I wrote this book because I was afraid of forgetting Gaza. This book is an act of resistance. You can order it now. Contact me if you need help on how and where to order it #GAZA

Merry Christmas. God jul!
May the light of today bring peace, compassion, and hope—especially to Palestine, Ukraine, Congo, Sudan, and to all who long for a just and lasting peace.

I haven’t been very active on social media in the past few months for many reasons. One is that I haven’t felt well mentally—and honestly, who could feel okay after witnessing the Israeli genocide? I’ve also been busy writing some long essays about Gaza.

When my father passed away six years ago, I had one purpose — to keep his legacy and words alive. I wanted to capture the oral history of Gaza in a book. What began as a form of therapy became a journey through soul-crushing memories and moments of joy.

Did you know that Ghaza its own “Kunafeh” and it is called Kunafeh Arabiya. I made it for the first time in my life. My late father used to love it.

It is Hummus. Not Khummmmus. Here is a Gaza style Hummus and Salad I did yesterday. Btw: Gaza salad must be done in this mud pot.

Now it is out! My book, "Fearful in Gaza" is out. What if the place you called home could disappear overnight, and the world simply looked away? In Fearful in Gaza, I answer this question not with abstractions or ideology, but through the voices of memory: his own, and those of his mother.

This is how Israeli soldiers do in the West Bank. Executions and killing for fun. Nothing more. A genocidal society.

Important piece on Unending grief of Palestinans 💔

"The grief we experience is compounded by multiple losses and griefs over time. It’s like being repeatedly cut by a shard of glass that shatters on our faces each morning, reminding us of the injustices, losses, and ongoing pain"
I wrote this essay. "For Palestinians, grief is endless, compounded, and interrupted—never given space to breathe, never allowed to end.”

There has been much discussion about what Hamas has been doing in Gaza, especially regarding clans and extrajudicial executions over the past two days. Hamas has been executing collaborators as well as Israel-backed militias and groups accused of looting aid. 1/n
