Nothing like seeing all the *amazing* writers releasing books or receiving awards for them on here to make me question why I’m even *attempting* to write fiction. Feels like trying to find a seat on an over-packed bus.

After a big delay due to 10 days of bad vertigo and then a lot of catching up on work stuff, I’m now 1/3 done with this novel (ya fantasy).
That’s it. That’s the post. Carry on.

Just popping in to say that, yes I am still alive, and no, I wasn’t raptured. I’ve used the last two weeks to start writing my first novel in over a decade, and am already 25% done.
I’m enjoying the clarity that comes with fewer social media interruptions, so for now I think I’ll stick with it.

I think I’ll be taking a break for a while. Sorry folks. I’m just not built for *waves hands erratically* all of this. If creativity is a fire, social media is a big ol’ bucket of cold water.
