Crime Of the Week status report: this weekend I did re-takes of troublesome lines. Once those get edited into place, the majority of the audio work will be done. Music is lined up and I have a logo image I'm content with.

My current hope is to have a trailer out by mid-June, for a July release.

It's wild how much better your audio will sound when you remember to turn your mic around and speak into the front of it.

In advance of #stpatricksday, here's a thread of essential articles about Irish stuff which you can present to international friends who wish to understand us better.

First up: a tale of two Taytos, by Róisín Lanigan.

How a half-man half-crisp in a suit became a symbol of the Irish diaspora—and an important part of the Brexit deliberations

This ground-breaking book came out in 1974 (back when fantasy by women was still thin on the ground) and so many writers of my generation were hugely influenced by it, as well as by her subsequent work. She was an absolutely master of fantasy literature, and deserves to be more widely known as such.
"She rode home slowly through the snow, the Falcon circling above her head, sometimes soaring to heights where he looked to her like a faint dark star in the day sky, then dropping down to her, lightning swift. She spoke to no one, her eyes black, blind and no one she passed stopped her."

Pre-show music for Murder On the Orient Express is all songs that talk about trains, which is... a choice.

Me, a fool, who has not done any programming since Windows 95 was a thing: I'm going to get a Raspberry Pi for my home entertainment, that seems like a much simpler option than what we're currently using
