To be a worse culture sec than Chris Grayling would seem difficult but Nandy has achieved it. If it wasn’t already fact and a sad statement of fact that her funding by Israel has produced some truly awful decisions she compounds that by caving in to the anti bbc bias of the most rw Tory opposition.

Watching “The Real Hack” it is still astounding that Rebekah Brooks is not in prison. One of the great miscarriages of justice ever.

So the very people who are opening the door for racists are now sounding alarm bells about “racism returning to the UK”. The man who made the speech talking about an “island of strangers” and immigration doing “ incalculable damage” is that person.

The state of the bbc - encapsulated in a nutshell by politics live on bbc2 now. 3 guests- Widdecombe who is Reform but not an MP and a Tory adviser. Just one from the (governing) Lab party.

M&S customer service is so paired back you can’t ring a store to reserve an item or get one store to transfer item to your local store. You now can’t even inquire about stock in store- you may only speak to store about online availability. Very poor.

Whole purpose of the shenanigans at bbc is to make even the progressives question its existence. Since Johnson installed his lackies from 2019 onwards the political shape and impartiality of it has been questioned. And now the right feels it can destroy it and it looks like that’s happening

From the opening minute it was obvious we were going to lose at City today. Dreadful - but well done City. Fully deserved.

Boris Johnson is one nasty bit of work is he not. A malign influence on anything he touches. His behaviour during the pandemic should have got him thrown out of parliament but instead it was left to the big wigs in the Tory party to defenestrate him. After appointing heads of bbc he’s at it again.

Paul Nowak Gen Sec of TUC made some good points last night on QT but unfortunately the rw could easily bat them aside as being class war comments. What Nowak should have said is not only are we a more unequal society since 2010 but that the economy is suffering - that is the link he didn’t make.

Tim Stanley of the DT speaking hypocritical nonsense on QT this evening. Saying everything that he and the Telegraph has opposed. Why was he not called out?

The truth of the matter which the Tories cannot dare to reveal is that Labour are behaving the same as them. For those falling for the change mantra at the last election this is the worst fact of all. Continued austerity, high prices and energy costs. Change? What change.

Labour are at pains to say austerity is over. But it isn’t. Ask anyone who’s‘ had to contact the police, seek help from mental health services, attend A&E. Cuts are happening and most of it due to Brexit.

So the latest prisoner to be mistakenly released is being blamed by this govt on last govt, a full year and 4 months after they left office. They can blame their economic inheritance on the last government but not this.

It’s not about inequality and the increasing numbers of poor people although all of that is very important - it is having a growing economy which works for all and not just the richest. We need policies which will grow the economy and we haven’t got that in the UK or the US.

What the govt have paid out in compensation to PO workers isn’t the issue. The issue is does it match what they’ve lost?
