The City of Regina reopening Dewdney Avenue, the day after agribition week ends, is the pinnacle of poor decision making #YQR.

GREY......CUP.....CHAMPIONS!!!

This reminded me of the 2007 Grey Cup. It wasn't at pretty or emphatic as 2013 but a similar defence that took the soul out of the opposing team at pivotal times. It's been 12 years, 2013 feels like forever ago. 2026 Champs!!! #cfl #greycup

Nathan Rourke didn’t hold back when asked about the new changes announced by the CFL 😳

One of the biggest stars in the #CFL trashing the changes on the day they're announced is a *Chef's kiss* on how badly rolled-out these changes were. How do fans get on board when the league's biggest players aren't?
September 22, 2025 at 11:01 PM
This is the most tone deaf #CFL announcement I have ever heard. Shortening the length of the field and moving the field goal posts in 2027 are terrible changes.

I hope your pup is OK and that this series goes well WELL in excess of 548 posts.

This is 100% true. Walking to the grocery store was the dream 8 years ago when we bought. It's silly to suggest that Westerra residents wouldn't walk there - they already walk to Coop Gas Bar, Saulteaux Crossing Tim Hortons and down Dewdney, next to 70km/hour traffic.

Side note: if money was not an object and I had the opportunity to buy a lot and build a house, the lots looking at the Dojack/AE Wilson wascana creek flood plain in Dieppe would be at or near the top of my list.

I run through Dieppe and find it transitional, but quite lovely, especially close to the park. Lovely sunsets by wascana creek/dojack. The No Frills on 4th Ave is lacking, Mike's Independent is better but further away. West Regina is long overdue for commerical development.

I am fine asking that question but I'm not willing to write off a business, that has been swamped with both in and and out of town demand, spurring residential and commercial development in the East end of Regina, being written off at the outset. That doesn't make any sense.

Other grocery retailers could have made the ask years ago but sat on their hands. The potential for Costco to drive development of the west like the north Superstore on Rochdale did decades ago is attractive - not sure how they arrived at $6.7 mil - but I'm not opposed to it conceptually.
May 5, 2025 at 9:47 PM
I don't know if it's worth the $6.7 mil price tag but after several years living in west Regina, the apparent alternative to the westside Costco is that west Regina remains a barren, grocery store-less, dust bowl. Forster Harvard has managed to get 1 gas station and 1 daycare in about a decade.

Hell of a campaign Mac!

That Superstore used to be THE downtown grocery store and the fact that it is now occupied and used, unlike the railyard next door that has sat vacant for a decade, should be celebrated.

As a proud Canadian-owned and operated company, we want to do our part to support Canadians. As a family we have decided to absorb all immediate increases in our costs due to the Trump-tariffs for the rest of the year to maintain our prices. We will continue to reinforce our Canadian-first policies.
