Please keep Wood in for Stephens. Please. Please. #saintsfc

Thinking about this, Juric has a career history that if there were an English equivalent would read something like:

Top job at Swansea on no budget
Took Brighton up to become a mid table team
Failed at Chelsea, because mad

But yeah, according to X/Facebook, we should have got Potter. #saintsfc

If we’d appointed Juric before the Roma gig (and they’re a mad club), everyone would have said it was an ambitious, clever move. I’m looking forward to it #saintsfc

#saintsfc going from committed Christian, to Buddhist vegan, to Death Metal.

It's never boring, is it?

Nice to feel some pride in the team again #saintsfc

I’m a staunch defender of the Beeb, but when they write clumsy headlines like this, it doesn’t half make the job hard.

Want Rohl.

Suspect it'll be Hjulmand because Denmark.

Phew. He's gone.

Now, Mr Rohl...

Weird seeing City crumble like this. Didn't realise how serious Pep must have been when he said he was going to learn off Russell Martin after our game up there...

This is the table when Danny Rohl took over at Sheffield Wednesday. He kept them up. They're now twelfth and playing good football. For when people say there's nobody who could take over at #saintsfc that would be better than our current fraud. Plus Danny knows the club.

Received the most middle class spam email ever today.

Had whatever the reverse of being asked for ID is yesterday.

Having eyes tested, and the young optometrist pipes up, “do you still work, or are you retired?”

What the…

Throwing this one out there.

On the two occasions I’ve had COVID, my eyesight has got worse following it. There doesn’t seem to be any recording of that as a problem elsewhere, but anyone else had that?

Well this is a very interesting line-up if you’re of a certain vintage…

This week will include finishing a treatment for a new TV series, meeting prep for the next supercar project, and Daniel Craig. So I need to get well again sharpish.

Film: not watched any with Covid head, sorry.

Sport: Despite a better second half, I’m afraid #saintsfc under Russell Martin still play propaganda football.

Cuddles: he still gives the best.

Things that have been good whilst I’ve been ill though:

Books: late to party, but have read the first three Slow Horses books. Utterly brilliant.

Music: the Indian son and mother covering Radiohead’s Creep. Stunning. Search it out.

TV: I’ve got sucked into I’m A Celeb - I love Richard Coles.

I feel like I should be posting more on here, but frankly I’ve spent the last six days in bed/on the sofa with round two of Covid, so I have little of interest to say.

Can confirm that Covid is still a bastard.

Just got back from Paul Foot’s show, Dissolve, at Soho Theatre. Do go and see it - he and the show are brilliant, moving and incredibly interesting.
November 25, 2024 at 10:44 PM
I know I just said I don't really watch #Imaceleb - but Richard Coles. Man. He's ace.

Went for monthly maintenance on back issue which has been FINE for a month or so. Saw sports therapist, he fannied around with it. It's now utterly agonising.

Yeah, cheers skeleton gods.

Walking past the pond on the common just now, and was wondering if the carp got chilly.

Googled “do fish get cold?” - yes, they’re idiots and can’t regulate their body temperature.

My old biology teacher would be horrified at how thick I’ve become.

At a place, striking up conversation with the guy next to me. I’m reading Rick Astley’s autobiography.

“Don’t judge me”

“I have no idea who that is. What does he do?”

“Err…he’s a singer”

“I’m heavily into my music, but never heard of him”.

This was a man in his 40s, for context. HOW?!
